“Stromboli” paper pulp pendant lamp

From a gray paper pulp I created a form that resembles - a volcano. The structure of the lamp is gray, bumpy and irregular, refers to the dried lava. When the light is turn on, the dormant volcano comes to life, and the light is spilling out of it like a lava pushing through. The light that spills out through the holes creates a diverse mosaic of shadows in the whole room.

This lamp is made entirely from paper pulp obtained using only old newspapers.

Therefore it’s 100 % recycled and eco-friendly.

Each paper pulp lamp is different and unique.

Give it light with energy-saving bulbs, they’re very efficient and long lasting!

Supplied with red or blue textile cable (made by Merlotti).

Dimensions: 43 cm high x 45 cm wide.

Lamp made from cedar

Lamp for desk made entirely from cedar. 

This lamp is made without using any mechanical tools – except for the lamp shade which was made on the lathe. To make this lamp I used old cedar trunk remaining in the carpentry workshop. The trunk was so small that just a few small elements could be done using it. Lamp has no nails. It was an exercise for me to make a project just with the use of saw, chisel and plane – I think the exercise more effective than going on the gym...uff... 

Can be easily assemble and disassemble. 

You don’t need any tools to do it.

“Mondrian” Furniture

For an apartment in Sicily I create series of furniture inspired in abstract painting, mainly in the paintings of Dutch artist - Piet Mondrian. For one chair I used his two paintings which I paint on the seat and on the back. Another chair, black and white is a tribute to Kazimir Malevich.

Recycled table

Renewed old table. Painted with white and blue, with pictures took from old book about Mercedes. Takes a part of entirely recycled kitchen in Sicily.
